I have a serious weakness for Jalapenos and Cheese! It’s funny because I can totally live without cheese, even on my enchiladas..yep, it’s true. But when it comes to jalapenos, my lips require cheese. In fact, there isn’t a movie, game..or get together where I don’t provide a Jalapeno Popper of some sort.
Adding all the elements of a proper pepper popper into a Crescent Roll simply came about because I opened up the fridge and the Rolls were staring me in the face..giving me that “use me look”, you know the one! At that moment I could almost smell the flaky rolls, spicy peppers, and gooey cheese all becoming one in the oven…and here we are! When the cream cheese and cheddar melt into the Crescents, it provides the perfect balance for the spicy, soft Jalapenos! 🙂
What you’ll need for 8 Crescents:
4 Jalapenos..seeded & sliced
2 Cups of Shredded Cheddar
1 Cup of Shredded Mozzarella
1 Cup of Softened Cream Cheese
Cajun Seasoning for sprinkling
Directions:
Unroll the Crescents and smear the inside with some Cream Cheese
Sprinkle some Cajun Seasoning onto the Cream Cheese and add a couple of slices of the Jalapeno, and a pile of the Shredded Cheddar
Roll them up and top ’em with some Mozzarella and a couple of Jalapeno slices
Bake them at 350 for about 12-15 minutes, or until they’re puffy and golden!
Serve while warm and bite into the warm, cheesy and slightly spicy, tastiest Crescent Roll ever! ~Enjoy1 🙂
These look super!
Mmmm, I love jalepeno poppers. And it’s such a simply genius idea to use crescents to make them! Honestly, is there anything crescents can’t do?
These sound delicious! I am a popper freak myself (and have crescent rolls in the fridge giving me that look) so I may just have to try these 🙂 Buzzed ya!
Anything that boasts oozing cheese and jalapeno, I’m in!
These look delicious! I can’t wait to try them.
I think I love you
Made these and they were super delicious! I topped them with jalepenos slices as you suggested, but that part of the crescent roll was still doughy when I took them out. When I make them again, I probably will put them in the oven for a little before topping them with the jalepeno slices.
Great idea, to give that part of the biscuit a chance to bake up a bit more! SO glad you enjoyed them! 🙂
