It’s so much fun to take a typical & delicious breakfast, and turn it into an easy-to-eat, grab & go goodie! Pie Pops are all the rage at the moment, as they should be! They’re super cute, tasty and most of all, portable! However, they’re usually reserved for Cake. Cake and Pops have become Dessert’s delicious new love child!
Well move over Dessert, Breakfast deserves a ‘Pop’ too, and what makes for a better hand-held ‘Breakfast Pop’ than Waffles that are totally stuffed with Peanut Butter and Jelly? Not much, that’s what!
These Waffles don’t even require a Batter..nope! That’s right..no messy mixing or dirty bowls here, these are no muss-no fuss, since they’re made with Biscuit Dough. Yep..warm, flaky Biscuits magically morph into toasty, syrup filled “Waffles” that are stuffed with America’s favorite couple..”Peanut Butter & Jelly”! 🙂
The PB&J gets all ooey gooey inside of the Waffle. Add a slathering drizzle of Maple Syrup, grab a stick and go about your morning! Kids and Kids at heart will squeal with happiness. You’ll want one for each hand, and wish you had a 3rd hand too!
~It’s a beautiful thing..lol!
What you’ll need for 8 super stuffed Waffle Pops:
1 Container of Pillsbury Grands Flaky Layers Biscuits (8ct.)
1/2 Cup Peanut Butter…approx.
1/2 Cup Jelly..approx.
Syrup
Directions:
Slice each Biscuit in half and roll each halve into a ball. Roll out each ball into a flat circle. Try and make all the circles the same size, making 16 circles…
Add a small amount of Peanut Butter and Jelly (approx. 1/2 tsp. of each) into the center of 8 of the circles. Place a stick into the center….
Brush some egg wash around the edges and put the ‘tops’ on, gently sealing them up with your fingers. Now they’re ready for your Waffle Iron…
Cook them until they’re golden and done..the time will vary depending on your Waffle Iron. Some Jelly may ooze out, but that actually gives them a delicious Glaze….
Pile them up and pass them out…
Don’t forget plenty of Syrup…
..and a plate for YOU! ~Enjoy! 🙂
are you a genius? i’m pretty sure you are. when i was a kid pb and j on eggos was my favorite food in the world. so were lollipops.
awesome idea. without the sticks, they would also be perfect in a lunch box. i love it!
I would love to make these, but I don’t have a waffle iron! Do you have any ideas on how make these w/o the iron? Thank you!
