Well..it was only a matter of time until these two amazing foods found each other..right?! Hearty and sweet Cornbread, filled to the brim with creamy & cheesy Mac-n-Cheese! It just doesn’t get any better than this!
This surprising duo compliments each other in the most perfect way possible…in fact, if they were people, they’d be that annoying couple that drives everyone crazy with their love..LOL! 🙂
Turn that typical Cornbread side dish into a meal that everyone will love~ Plan a brunch just so you can serve this..lol!
What you’ll need:
1 box of your favorite Cornbread Mix
4 cups of prepared Mac-n-Cheese
1 cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese..for the topping
A 8×11″ baking pan is what I used,,it’s an unusual size, so just use the deepest pan you have.
Directions:
Prepare the Cornbread Batter according to the box instructions and gently fold in all the Mac-n-Cheese. Make sure it’s evenly incorporated…
Top it with the Shredded Cheddar…
Bake it uncovered at 350 degrees for approx. 35-45 minutes…or until it’s golden, cooked through and not jiggly anymore!
Let it cool and set up for a few minutes…
But definitely serve it warm! ~Enjoy! 🙂
Hi! I just came across this delicious blog this morning and I can already tell that my kitchen and your blog will be starting a long term relationship. Starting with this cornbread! Thanks so much!!
Lol…it will be a very sweet relationship! :). Happy to have you!
I am thinking that I should add some diced ham or bacon bits. What do you think?
I think it’s brilliant…yummm! 🙂
Ran across this recipe from a web search. I will be trying this also, but I think about 1.5 lbs of leftover smoked pulled pork shoulder, chopped sorta fine and mixed in is going to be outstanding.
