Yep..I did it~ You didn’t actually think that I’d pass up this opportunity did you? ..HAHA! No way! I’m taking this frying thing to an even higher level, the most important level..THE most delicious level EVER! That’s right~the Pumpkin Spice Latte level!
We’ve fried Tequila, Beer, and now it’s time that the Pumpkin Spice Latte gets in on this hot action! As if the Pumpkin Spice Latte needed any more reasons to be fabulous, here we are, witnessing the Pumpkin Spice Latte become even better than its ever been, right before our eyes!
Each golden. pumpkiny nom-nugget is literally heaven in your mouth! Serve them up on “Stir-stick skewers” because um..adorable! And definitely with some ‘whip’ for dipping, or a dollop on right on top of a filled cup for serving! SO cute and delicious!
Until you’ve had this world-wide phenomenon of a drink fried to a sweet, crispy, golden brown, ..until your lips have tasted the tender, moist, PSL filled cakey center as it melts in your mouth, you haven’t experienced the best that this drink has to offer.
~These little treats are beyond words, beyond anything you can imagine, almost beyond belief..lol!
Fill up some ‘Tall’ cups for breakfast, “Grande” cups for snacks, and some “Venti’s” for movie night, or game day!! What a super fun and unique addition to that Fall table of yours as well~ just make them..you will thank me later, I promise!
What you’ll need:
A Pumpkin Spice Latte~ approx. 2 cups!
1-1lb. loaf of Pound Cake OR Angel Food Cake..the pound cake yields a more dense result, but holds more flavor as well. I used Pound Cake.
Whipped Cream for dipping!
1/2 cup Cinnamon/Sugar for sprinkling
Oil for frying..I used Canola
Directions:
You probably know the drill by now..lol! Cube the cake into approx. 1″ squares…
Pour the Latte into a shallow bowl…
Generously and evenly dunk each cake square into the latte…
Drop them immediately into the (350-360 degree) Oil…in small batches..
Fry them until they’re evenly golden on all sides… (They smell AMAZING)
Let them drain on paper towel, but while they’re warm, sprinkle them with some cinnamon/sugar…
And some ‘Whip’ of course…
Serve them up, you won’t have to go far to find willing lips…
There will be plenty to go around…
Maybe..lol! ~Enjoy! 🙂
