Oh~~My~~GOSH! I never thought a Potato could get any better, it is after all, the perfect food! BUT…when whole Potatoes simmer all day in a Creamy ‘Gravy’, there are no words that can explain how ultra-great they become. Crack into those hot, steamy, soft and fluffy Potatoes, as they get coated in that thick, creaminess…Ahhh~To. Die. For!
~Softer than the softest Potato you’ve ever had…fluffier than the fluffiest Potato that you’ve ever had….tastier & creamier than..well, you get it..haha!
Seriously though, this is the easiest and tastiest Crock-Pot creation I’ve ever had. No peeling, slicing, chopping or cutting~just put your whole Potatoes in the Crock-Pot, set it (and you won’t forget it, you’ll be thinking about them ALL day!)
Let them do their thing and BOOM…the most perfect Potatoes are ready and waiting for you!
What you’ll need:
A Crock-Pot…
Potatoes..one per person
1 can of Cream of Chicken Soup per 4 Potatoes
1 soup can-full of Water per 4 Potatoes
Salt & Pepper..optional, but the Pepper is SO good!
OPTIONAL~ Make it a meal by adding in some Keilbasa, Green Chile, Chicken, OR Bacon along with the Taters! 🙂
Directions:
Add your whole Potatoes, Soup, Water and S&P (or any seasonings you’d like) into the Crock-Pot…
Set it to High, wait about 6-8 hours, depending on the size of your Crock-Pot and how many Potatoes you make…they’re done when they’re SUPER soft and creamy!
One “poke” and you’ll know when they’re ready! Serve them up…
Share with those you love..lol!
And dig in! ~Enjoy! 🙂
they look really good!
These look yummy…wondering if I could use any cream soup or maybe cheddar cheese soup?
If I wanted to add bacon, would it be already cooked, or raw, and when would it be added, at the beginning?
I’d add crispy bacon on top before you serve them. 🙂
made these with cream of mushroom soup and again with cream of onion soup..oh oh getting hungry for these again 🙂
Wow my husband and I enjoyed this recipe…So easy!
Put this in crockpot yesterday along with ham chunks, and boy, was it yummy! I put “some” pepper in it, but, nothing like the picture.
Oh my everloving stars! This recipe is fabulous! I did it with cream of chicken first, then I tried cheddar cheese soup. And a little bit of bacon and chives (and there may have been a tiny bit of sour cream, shhh) when they were done. Best meal ever. Thank you for being more creative than I =)
Can’t wait to try this…..sounds wonderful. So glad I found you!!!
I saw this and KNEW this was dinner! Got it in the crockpot right now and will add some ham to it about an hour before serving time. Can’t wait to try this!
If I used smaller red potatoes do you think they would disintegrate even if I reduce the cooking time? Anyone ever try it with this kind of tater?
I am doing the recipe with red potatoes right now. They are taking a longer time to cook than the other recipe. I put them in before bed last night, and its about 4pm now. They are just starting to be close to ready. I think they will be ready for dinner tonight.
I had high expectations….but it was mediocre at best! Used cream of mushroom a couple pats of butter and sprinkled some ranch seasoning. Decent but not amazing!
So sorry you didn’t enjoy them!
These were delicious! We changed it a bit, we used two cans of cream of broccoli, and one and a half cans of water. Plus bacon bits, ham, and kielbasa sausage. Absolutely fantastic, we will definitely be making this again and again.
I just need to verify. Is High correct? Its usually Low for 6-8 hrs. Making this tomorrow for dinner! Thank you for the recipe.
This is almost done! My husband wanted it made with Cream of Onion soup. Smells awesome!
