If fried food could all of a sudden be fancy and classy, this would be it!
A beautiful bounty of warm, chocolaty, festive Cordial Cherries that are sure to be the talk of your gathering. This takes fried finger food to a whole new level, an upper class level, if you will. These gems maintain their uptown status as they only get better after a quick dip in the hot tub, a.k.a. the hot oil. 🙂
The light and crispy outer shell of that melty, oozy little melt-in-your-mouth nom nugget filled with that oh-so- loved cherry liquid is beyond description and compare! What a way to ring in 2015!
~Make a batch of these and knock the socks off all who pop one into their mouths. They’ll bring the party to your party! 🙂
What you’ll need:
Egg Roll wrappers. Either the large size (cut in half) or the small size (left whole)
1 box of Cordial Cherries (12 count)
2 tbsp. water
Oil for frying..I used Canola
Powdered Sugar for dusting
Directions:
Place one cordial cherry inside a wrapper and wet the edges with some water…
Gently wrap the entire cherry inside the wrapper, squeezing it against the wrapper so there’s a good seal and no open spots in the dough…
Fry them a few at a time, for a few minutes, or just until they’re golden and crispy…
Remove them and let them drain on some paper towel.
Serve them up…
Eat them up..be amazed..repeat! ~Enjoy! 🙂
What temperature should the oil be?
I always fry with an oil temp of 350.
