What’s a party without Tacos? What’s a Taco without a party? .. Well, either would still be awesome..but you know what I mean..haha!
I wanted to take my finger food to the next level and jazz up that culinary-topped coffee table of mine with a little more than chips and dip (not that there’s anything wrong with chips and dip)..but you know what I mean! 😉
Typical tacos can be so messy, so unpredictable and who needs that? I needed to find a way to create a taco that can be enjoyed without ruining my clothes, my floor, my furniture..my life! 🙂
~A taco that had all the terrific taco taste without the terrible taco terror..lol!
So this is what I did~ I simply made a bunch of taco rolls that are stuffed with all things taco. All baked up and melted together to form a 2-bite, meaty-messless-munchy beyond compare!
NOW, tacos can be enjoyed in your best party shirt, with no embarrassing breakage! The warm, flaky roll is smothered in beefy, melty, cheesy, spicy taco goodness.
~All I can say is..make LOTS!
What you’ll need:
1 container of Pillsbury {thin crust} Pizza Dough
1 lb ground beed
1-8oz. block of cream cheese
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese ..divided
1 packet taco seasoning
1 cup salsa
Sour cream for topping, and any other taco toppings you like!
..a food processor really helps!
9×13 baking dish
Directions:
Cook the beef until it’s fully cooked, and add in the taco seasoning packet..
Strain the meat to remove any excess liquid and fat..
NOW~ Into the processor, add the beef, cream cheese, and ONE cup of the shredded cheddar. Blend until it’s well combined…
In a small bowl combine the other cup of shredded cheddar with the salsa, mix it up… Set aside!
Now roll out the dough, so it’s even…
Smear the dough, in a nice even layer.. with the blended beef filling.
You may or may not have some filling left over, just depending on the size of your dough sheet.
Roll that baby up, and slice it into approx. 1″ rolls…
Lay them out in a single layer into your sprayed baking dish…
Annnd…Top them with that cheese/salsa combo…
Now..bake them at 350 degrees for approx. 20 minutes, OR until they’re golden, gooey and irresistible…
Let them cool just a bit, if you can?! And serve them UP!
Add some Sour Cream for a cool and creamy kick!
NOW the party can start! ~Enjoy! 🙂
