Annnd..here we go again with the booze. Not bad for someone who really doesn’t drink much right?! 🙂
This time, I thought it would be fun to corrupt (in the cutest way) a savory favorite, the Chicken Wing. It’s not every day that you can say you ate some boozy chicken, but now you can.
And as a bonus, they’re baked not fried..can you say seconds fifths?!
Now if you think of these in terms of tequila lime chicken it won’t seem so crazy, all I did was capitalize on the finger food fun. The tequila filled, lime zested, chicken-winged FUN! ..Ahh~ that’s better!
So, trust me when I say…make LOTS!
What you’ll need:
15-20 chicken wings
1 cup tequila
1 cup margarita mix
1/2 cup flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
4 limes
1/4 cup salt
LARGE zipper bag
Directions:
In a medium bowl, combine the tequila, margarita mix, zest of one lime and a pinch of salt until well blended…
Now, place the wings in the bag and pour the mixture into it. Seal it up very well and place it in the fridge for 1 hour to over night if possible, Making sure to mix the wings around now and then to keep them evenly covered in the mix.
Dry the wings, and in a medium bowl mix the flour and baking powder together, add another pinch of salt if you like…
Toss all the wings with the flour mixture until evenly coated…
Place the wings onto a wire rack over a sheet pan and bake at 425 degrees for approx. 30 minutes, flipping them over at the halfway point.. They’re done when they’re evenly golden on both sides and cooked through.
Slice up the limes…
Serve the wings with some salt and lime wedges for the tastiest WOW factor EVER! ~Enjoy! 🙂
