Ohhh no! Why do I do this to myself, time and time again? I insist on making whatever crazy, off the wall, decadent food idea that pops into my head. I torture myself…and somehow I just LOVE it~ it’s sick I tell you! Oh well, nothing eases a sick and twisted mind quite like the gentle aroma of Cookie Dough Bread puffing up in the Oven. Or a warm, chocolaty, tender slice of that bread, making you feel better one bite at a time. Talk about feel good food! 🙂
If you love Cookie Dough…and please, who doesn’t? You will flip for this super simple Bread! It’s literally like melty Cookie Dough suspended inside a luscious loaf of moist, almost wet Bread!
~In just a matter of minutes, you can be moaning and groaning without even knowing it…yep, it’s true! Go do this,…go on! …GO! 🙂
What you’ll need:
A bread loaf pan (the size will determine the height of your final Bread result)
2-5 oz. containers of Vanilla Greek Yogurt
1 1/2 cups Self Rising Four
1/2 cup Sour Cream
1/2 cup Sugar
1-11 oz. bag of Chocolate Chips (reserving 1/3 cup for the topping)
1 tbs. Vanilla Extract
The Glaze:
1 cup Powdered Sugar
approx. 1 tbs. Vanilla Extract
a few splashes of Milk until your desired consistency is reached.
Directions:
Spray your loaf pan and set aside… Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium bowl combine the Four, Sour Cream, Sugar, Yogurts, Vanilla and the Chocolate Chips. Remember to reserve about 1.3 cup of the Chocolate Chips for the topping… Mix it VERY well!
Pour it into the loaf pan, place it onto a baking sheet to protect your oven, and bake it at 350 degrees, for approx. 45 minutes to an hour!
While it’s baking, make the glaze by mixing together the above Glaze ingredients…
When the Bread is done, it will look golden and pull away from the sides of the pan.
Let it cool…
Now flip it out onto your adorable serving plate of choice…
Pour the Glaze all over that baby like it’s your job
Now add the remaining Chocolate Chips, unless you ate them all while the Bread was baking…Hmmm???!!…
Get ready to slice it up….
Just look at it…really look at it~~
Don’t be an animal…get a plate….
NOW, you may be an animal..lol! ~Enjoy! 🙂
YUM! I hope to make this very soon! 🙂
You soooooooooo know I am making this, right? FABULOUS as always!!!
Haha sometimes you just gotta listen to your inner fat kid!
Is the amount of Vanilla Extract teaspoons ( tsp.) or Tablespoon (TBLS.)
Its tablespoon for vanilla, either or it won’t effect the cake!!
What could I substitute the yogurt with. Thank you.
I’ve a delicious recipe for raspberry cookies but don’t want to make and bake individual ones. Is it possible to use my recipe, as written, and bake in a loaf pan or cake pan?
