Well..just when I thought nothing new could ever..and I mean EVER, be done to popcorn, along comes this little gem to shake things up! Out of all the simple, easy and fast recipes that I have tried, this one has got to be the easiest, especially for what you get in return!
I’m not kidding..in literally a matter of minutes, one spoon, and one bowl later, you can sit down to an entire HUGE bowl of the most unique, tasty and delicious popcorn in the world! Hello Netflix!
And the possibilities are endless! You can use any flavor of JELLO instant pudding you’d like for the tastiest, creamiest AND crunchiest snack ever, yes..it’s creamy and crunchy at the same time..how cool is that?!
~Make TONS! 🙂
What you’ll need:
6 cups of popped popcorn
1-1/2 cups of white chocolate chips
1/4 cup canola OR veg oil
1- 3.4 oz. box of instant vanilla pudding
sprinkles..optional~ I didn’t use any!
Directions:
Melt the white chocolate with the canola oil..(I used a microwave..25 secs, or so..that will vary)..stir it very well to combine..
Mix in the instant pudding until well blended…
Gently toss with the popcorn, lay it out in a single layer on some wax paper (you can add some sprinkles, or anything you’d like, now if you’d like) and let it set up (about 15 minutes)
Break it into pieces and eat it up, it’s SO amazing! ~Enjoy! 🙂
This looks so yummy !
Do you think this would work with chex cereal instead of popcorn, though?
YES..yummy!
You could swap the vanilla pudding for cheesecake pudding, add a tsp cinnamon and maybe some butter extract, and call it cinmamon roll popcorn!
I just made this with pumpkin spice pudding mix and regular semi sweet chocolate chips. Soooo good!
Hmmm… It’s been a half hour and it’s still soggy wet. I even added half again as much popcorn. I’m thinking this recipe calls for too much oil.
Wondering why the need for oil at all?
Plain popcorn or buttered? Thanks!
either 🙂
Mine came out really good…I upped the popcorn to 12 cups and still had great coverage. . .delicious!
YAY! 🙂
I just made this this afternoon for a Food bank fundraiser on the weekend!! I used more like 12 cups of popcorn and had just enough coverage. its already starting to firm up and I added those cute confetti sprinkles and used the cheesecake pudding!! it is very very good!Great easy recipe..
It seems gritty from the pudding
Should I nuke it more or let it sit
Absolutely delicious but doesn’t need the oil and I believe it stops it from setting up firmly. Next time I’ll make without the oil. But very good otherwise!! I doubled popcorn but made rest exactly as shown.
