Yeah, I know how strange this sounds..even I thought I was crazy for trying it! However, I know what a perfect union salty, crunchy and sweet are, so I figured eh..I’ll just give this one a try when no one is home! If no one is around to witness a crazy recipe attempt, is it still crazy? NOPE! 😉
And before I knew it they were all gone..not my family, the crackers..whew! LOL!
If you’re into the “salted caramel” flavors..you will love this quick and yummy snack cracker!
They’re lite, crisp and surprisingly easy to chew, not to mention so pretty!
Give them a try, and feel free to blame me if anyone thinks you’re crazy! 🙂
What you’ll need for approx. 15 crackers:
1 cup of sugar
1/4 cup water
15 Ritz Crackers
Directions:
On a parchment lined baking sheet, spread out your Ritz Crackers.
In a med. pot, boil the sugar and water until it turns a caramel color.
Pour a puddle of the caramel over each cracker and let it set up. Put these out for a unique..crispy-salty-sweet treat! And a fun conversation starter! ~Enjoy!! 🙂
*HINT*
For variety, sprinkle the tops of the crackers with any spice before you pour the caramel over them..such as cinnamon, or even Chile powder for a little kick…get creative! 🙂
