Do you have any champagne left over from the holidays? Is that the craziest question you’ve ever heard? Well, if by some chance you have some..use it up and make some amazing and unique jelly with it!
The flavor is intense and so delicious! Perfect for toast, crackers..OR a fabulous Brie En Croute! The uses are endless! Let the ringing in of the new year continue..cheers!
What you’ll need:
2 cups Champagne (Sparkling Apple Cider works fine too)
3 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. butter
1 pkg. of Pectin
I served it on some mini toasts..so cute & yummy!
Directions:
In a medium sauce pot mix the sugar and the Champagne..bring to a boil-stirring constantly!
Add the pectin and return to a boil for one minute.
If necessary, skim the foam off the top, and ladle into ball jars.
I just simply sealed the jar and stored the jelly in the fridge!
~Enjoy!
Festive and tasty! Now, you can celebrate every morning with this jelly! 😀
I think I’m gonna try the Brie En Croute with it this weekend..something for us girls during the football game! 🙂
this looks awesome! buzzed!
Thanks Jessica! 🙂
Great idea! I have two bottle of champagne just sitting there waiting to be used, must try this!
2 bottles would make LOTS of jelly Lacy..you may just have to drink some while you cook! 😉
How many jelly jars would this fill?
