Love can be both sweet & tart, so in honor of the big day of love, I made Cherry Heart Tarts! Just a simple and cute way to end that fabulous dinner he cooked for you! 🙂
While he’s busy in the kitchen cleaning up, you can have these Tarts of love ready to go! 😉 Nothing says “Thanks for doing the dishes” love, quite like a beautiful, thoughtful & sweet treat! In a few minutes you can have these beauties all ready and waiting for the oven! The perfect and loving way to end a great evening!
What you’ll need for 4 small 3D Tarts (double for more):
1 Roll of Pillsbury Frozen Pie Crust
1 Can of Cherry Pie Filling
1 egg for egg wash
3 Heart shaped cutters (a small, medium and large)
Some sugar for sprinkling
Directions:
Roll out the dough
Cut out your hearts..one small, one medium and one large for every tart
Brush some egg wash onto the large heart and place the medium heart onto it. Add a small spoonful of the filing in the center of the medium heart, and place the smaller heart onto the filling. This gives the Tarts a fun 3D effect! 🙂
Brush the top of the small heart with some egg wash and sprinkle with sugar for a nice sparkle!
Bake at 350 until the crust is golden, watch to make sure they don’t burn.
Let them cool and top with a dusting of Powdered Sugar!
Share with your sweetie and prepare for some XOXO 🙂
