It’s Easter season yay! Such a great holiday full of candy and treats! This recipe/method is perfect because it’s a nice way to incorporate some healthy foods into our Easter diet! Eggs & toast are healthy right?! And they’re especially delicious when the egg is melty chocolate and the toast is a warm sugar cookie! Yep, nothing like some eggs & toast to make us feel better about all the candy we’ll be eating over the holiday..lol!
These make for such a fun and unique treat and will have the kids giggling and the adults Ooo-ing down to the very last crumb! And what a huge ‘cute factor’ for only 2 simple ingredients!!
The sugar cookie toast stays kind of chewy with the addition of the egg & and mixes perfectly with the melty chocolate yolk! In about 12 minutes your family & friends can be enjoying the best eggs & toast dessert breakfast they’ve ever had! 🙂
What you’ll need:
Cadbury Eggs
Sugar Cookie Dough (I can’t seem to find it in the rolls anymore, so I just roll out the pre-cut blocks) Or you could always make your own 🙂
Directions:
Roll out the dough to about 1/4″ thickness, and cut it into a ‘sliced bread’ shape
Gently prick small holes in the top or the cookie dough with a fork to give it that bread look
On a baking sheet bake the “toast” at 350 for about 8-ish minutes and then place one egg in the center of it
Continue baking for about 2-4 minutes, or just until the egg starts to get soft
Serve warm, and crack into the most amazing over-easy egg & toast ever! ~Enjoy! 🙂
Ha! I love this idea!! You come up with the most amazing creations ever! Seriously fantastic. Who else would think of something so amazing?!! This is crazy and I’m totally trying it.
Aww..thanks SO much Lacy!! I hope you enjoy them! 🙂
Cadbury cream eggs are a longtime special treat for me. Every year I look forward to this season and the appearance of the eggs. I’d stock up but after a while the cream center hardens and you lose the joy of sucking it out. Oh, well, I’m enjoying them now 🙂
Um, are you serious?! I’m just going to go ahead and pretend that I didn’t see this post. 🙂
