What can I say, I love Chocolate!Β ~Give me dark, semi-sweet, milk, white, I don’t care..just gimme!Β I’ll never turn it down, but…since this sinfully sweet, succulent concoction came into my life, I totally have a new favorite way to get my Chocolate on!
Midnight. Fudge. Cake. is literally all of those 3 things, and SO much more.Β Midnight for its intenselyΒ deep, dark almost black Chocolate color.Β Ohh, and the fact that it’s a treat totally worthy of the best alone time for snacking ever~Midnight!
And Fudge because it has actual dark, fudgy Brownie Batter swirled into theΒ rich Chocolate Cake that makes it a super moist, and dense fudge-like cake.Β The best cakeΒ you’ll ever have!Β It’s a seductive, Chocolate indulgence like nothing you’ve ever experienced before or could ever dream of experiencing again!Β ..just kidding, you can make this as many times as you’d like..lol!Β π
What you’ll need for at least 10-12 midnight Snacks:
One box of Triple Chocolate cake Mix..(I only used half)
One box of Ultimate Fudge Brownie Mix..with included GanacheΒ (I only used half)
a 9×13 baking pan
Directions:
I used half of each box and it made a normal amount of cake.Β Feel free to use the entire boxes, for 2 9×13 pans.
In one bowl I mixed the Cake mix, splitting the ingredients in half accordingly.
In another bowl I mixed the Brownie Batter, splitting the ingredients accordingly…
Combine both mixing bowls into the baking pan, swirl them together a bit, and bake it at 350 degrees, for approx. 30 minutes or until it’s baked through.
Let it cool and gently poke some holes into it with a fork…
Now pour the included Ganache all over the top of the cake…if you need more Ganache, use some Fudge Β Topping from a jar.
…and serve up a big, moist plate full…
Prepare your lips for the best cake they’ve ever seen! ~Enjoy!Β π

I love some of your ideas but even though this is sugar we are talking about I would love to see the recipes from scratch using decent ingredients for the cakes, cookie, etc. Cake mixes, and Pillsbury cookies, ugh! Maybe if you used mixes that are of a more organic quality? It just seems a shame in a time when better for you pre-mades are so easily available to use things that are so bad for you.

I couldn’t find it near me. Got Ghiradelli’s dark chocolate brownie mix and a jar of hot fudge.

I am trying it in a Bundt pan and used a cup of strong coffee instead of the water the cake mix called for. I make a great chocolate cake rom scratch, but I’m hoping this is a quicker alternative.

As a baby boomer who not only grew up on these “unhealthy” boxed products – and ate a ton of raw batter and dough (with no salmonella ever) – but raised a family on them, too, I find it just down right arrogant that people suppose because something is labeled “organic” it is more healthy than non-organic. I think the whole “organic” craze is just a way for marketers to make more money from those who fall for their “Mad Men” ploys. Sorry for jumping on this bandwagon, Amy.

Organic items ARE healthier because they are not grown with pesticides. That being said, a desert item, is rarely healthy because sugar is sugar and the contents are not necessarily healthier. I don’t think it’s about arrogance, but about making the best choice for your own family. Everyone has different needs. I figure, I just don’t do the naughty stuff often…and I buy organic when I can find it, and when I can afford it. Balance in all things.
Just because you’re still alive, doesn’t mean that a lifetime of unhealthy eating isn’t harmful, or that it won’t come back to bite you later. Healthy food is a lot less expensive than medical bills later.
You saw the cake and the ingredients. You could/should have just left the page without the negativity. Go to healthy websites and enjoy your cardboard imitations. Some people love to serve delicious recipes and eat in moderation. No one needs to ake this every night but a special occasion or in moderation is fine.
Dessert..not desert. Please do not post long rants about how healthy you are. We are not on this website to be reprimanded. You may eat as healthy as you please, more power to you. I suggest you tweak the recipes so they are healthy and then report to us the recipe. I’d rather read that, than a review which is not a review at all.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but organics ARE grown with pesticides and herbicides, they are just “natural”. Organic products many times actually have more pesticides and herbicides than conventional. You can research to find out this is true. :/
When its your turn to go its your turn no matter how healthy you eat something is gonna get you I say enjoy life cause its too short. My Dad was a health nut too and he left this world way too early .
Organic!! Organic!! The food that is called organic isn’t anymore organic than the regular food you buy in the grocery store or wherever you buy it. They use the same pesticides to grow their products. Organic just means they can not use pesticides a couple of weeks before harvesting.

I see it as having it not often and eating healthily most of the time. You COULD however, use an organic cake mix and an organic brownie mix which are readily available and pretty good (they just might not be the triple fudge versions with little chips in them), AND you would have to find a recipe for ganache to make from scratch with organic ingredients. Even still…with healthier ingredients…it’s still a dang lot of sugar. You have to do the best you can and make choices that fit for you. Since the recipes on this site focus on fast and easy from mixes and processed products, you’ll either have to look for a healthier site that makes similar items from scratch, or spend the time adapting and experimenting. Many times I will utilize organic items from scratch and can come up with pretty good versions…other times, if I just want a quick something for a pot luck or birthday or something, I’ll go the quick, processed route. It’s all about balance. The photos of the items she makes make me DROOL and SWOON! I enjoy the photos so much I don’t always even have to MAKE the item!

I think this blog is amazing…i to cook/bake as easily as possible… when i need to, but for the most part I cook healthy/clean. But this is a blog you went on, she shouldn’t have to change what she is doing, it works for her, if you are not happy with it or want something different than you don’t have to stay on this site, or start your own however you want.

I love quick & easy recipes for “real” people…lol! There are three things I look for in a recipe. 1) Is it a short list of ingredients? 2) Are the ingredients items I normally have on hand? 3) Does it sound good? If the answers are “yes,” “yes,” and “yes,” then I’m all for it. Why do people want to ruin it by making everything “organic” and “healthier?” I agree with you…if that’s what they want, then they need to find another site, or make the appropriate changes themselves…why should you do all the work for them? That totally defeats the purpose…lol!!!!

If a recipe has more than 7 or 8 ingredients, or any that I don’t normally keep in my cupboards, I ain’t makin’ it!
