It’s simple~ Biscuits & Gravy goodness, all baked up together in one easy-to-serve, deliciously decadent casserole. Ready and waiting to feed a hungry crowd of 6-8 people…OR just you! 🙂
The warm, buttery, fluffy Biscuits absorb all of that Sausage/Gravy goodness and will take your Breakfast over the TOP!
~Let’s not forget about the peppery Sausage that’s made its way into every nook and cranny of this magnificent morning meal…lol!
What you’ll need:
1 container of Pillsbury Grands Flaky Layers Biscuits (8 count)
1 lb. of Ground Sausage, either regular or Spicy~I used Spicy!
2 cups of Milk
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 White-Gravy Packet..OR feel free to make your own Gravy
9×13 baking pan
Directions:
Bake up the Biscuits according to the package directions.
While they’re baking…cook up the Sausage…
In a large bowl combine the Milk, Gravy Packet, Salt & Pepper…
Mix well…
Now add the cooked Sausage into the Milk mixture…
Gently mix in all that cooked Sausage…
Place the cooked Biscuits into the baking pan…
Pour the Sausage mixture evenly all over the top. Making sure to even out the Sausage…
Bake it again at 350 for another 15-20 minutes, just to incorporate all the Gravy and firm everything up…
Let it cool just a little so it firms up, but…
Serve it up nice and warm…
Don’t forget to scoop up some of that Gravy from the pan and pour it all over each serving~ YUM!
And then DIG IN! ~Enjoy! 🙂
This looks so amazing. And so simple! So glad you thought of this. Sorry I didn’t.
~thank you! 🙂
This caught my eye while I was on Facebook. I had to check it out cuz it looked so darn yummy! Although I will have to omit the salt (high b.p.) I can’t wait to make this. {P.S. – and yes, I will probably eat the entire thing! :-)}
I love biscuits & gravy, I make my own gravy, I just brown 1lb. Sauage, sprinkle with about 1/2 cup flour in the pan and let that brown too, scrape the pan, and let all the flour cook in, add about 2 cups of milk and stir on low heat until thick, add as much milk as you need. Sprinkle with pepper. I have been making at least 40 yrs, my family loves it.
Wow your recipe sounds so much better, thank you!
This seems like a perfect dish for an upcoming late-afternoon brunch, with some iced Apricot Nectar drinks, and some Stir-Fried Succatash ! 😛
this might be darn good with real biscuits and homemade gravy!! It will be on the menu later this summer
I Have made this for many yrs I make the biscuits ,gravy and cook the sausage or bacon or what ever you like even corned beef hash ..Its ease to make from scratch I don’t make it very often anymore because it will for sure make you gain weight
only thing I would change is add fried taters on the bottom and make extra gravy to be poured over top as it is served…
This looks good but not enough gravy for me. Looks like you just put a little drizzle of gravy on the biscuit! I wouldn’t call this biscuits and gravy!
This dish was so easy to make and everyone loved it. This is a keeper and I am sharing it with all of my friends especially grandmothers.
Trying this, but adding cheese and bacon and extra gravy
Uuuhhhh, just a thought, drain the sausage before adding it to the gravy. That is far too much fat in a meal, unless you live at the North Pole on a daily basis, drain the fat first.
I agree 100% 🙂
