The Buns aren’t greasy..they’re toasted perfectly on the outside, and tender on the inside with that one of kind fried crispy flavor!  When combined with that tender, succulent pulled pork and those crispy Onion Straws..O.M.G~ this is a magnificent mash-up made in Pulled Pork Sandwich heaven!  You’ll think you’ve died a delicious death!  haha!!

~Make a platter of these the next time you want to see just how good that Pulled Pork Sandwich can really get!  Tuh-rust me!  🙂

What you’ll need:

A Hamburger Bun of your choice

Pulled Pork..fully cooked and seasoned to your liking

BBQ Sauce..your fave

The Onion Straws:

Thinly sliced onions..about 2 medium onions worth, depending on how many sandwiches you make.

1 cup Buttermilk..or regular milk will work, but won’t be as flavorful

1 cup of Flour

1 packet of Ranch Dressing/Seasoning powder

Oil for frying..I used Canola

Directions:

Slice up the Onions as thin as you can..I used a mandolin

In a medium bowl combine the flour and the Ranch Seasoning packet

Pour the buttermilk onto the sliced onions and mix to coat

Take a scoop of the onions from the buttermilk, making sure to let the excess drip off

Place the onions into a strainer and shake the flour mixture all over them, making sure to coat them evenly

Drop them into the oil and flash-fry them until they’re golden brown.  Fry them in batches making sure to use a fork to keep them separated as they fry up

Drain them on paper towel and sprinkle them with some salt

In the hot oil, fry up your Burger Buns and set them aside to drain and cool

NOW..assemble the Sandwich

Take some pulled pork and get it onto the bottom bun, pile it up with some crispy Onion Straws and put the top Bun on.

DIG IN!  You’ll LVOE it!  Oh…be sure to have some napkins handy..and by “some” I mean about 400!   ~Enjoy! 🙂
