Sooo, apparently I created some sort of psychedelic firestorm the other day with the delivery of my Rainbow Pizza to your virtual front door..uninvited…lol

There were “ew’s”, there was rage, and there were a few who thought it was fabulous..lol.  But because of the emotional turmoil I put you all through, I thought I’d cleanse your metal rainbow-palate with something we can all agree on, something that totally benefits from some rainbow-ish-sweet swirls~ YEP.. the good old doughnut.

Now I know there are tons of rainbow doughnuts out there, but when it comes to this kind of beauty…there’s no such thing as too much.  Right?  ..RIGHT!

I of course, took the lazy easy route and used some Krispy Kreme doughnuts, but feel free to whip up your own nuts of dough from scratch if you so choose.

~Just be sure to up your happy-doughnut factor, and start rainbowing up your very own asap.

What you’ll need for 6 doughnuts:

6 Doughnuts!

3 cups powdered sugar

neon/rainbow food coloring…  I used the gel

A few splashes of water or milk…

Directions:

Mix up all your colors in separate cups or small bowls…

Now add some of each color into one shallow bowl, and gently swirl them together, but NOT too much…

Gently dip the tops of each doughnut into the swirly colors….

Now, let the excess drip off…

Let them set up on a rack…

And then grab one…

OR 5…

And dig in!  ~Enjoy!  🙂
