One of the questions I get asked most often, other than “what the heck is wrong with you?” OR the so-common “How many stoner dudes help you think of these things?” ..  is .. “how do you come up with this stuff?” .. and as you can imagine, I have no real answer for either of those questions..lol.  However, I do know that I find inspiration in the strangest places sometimes, and this is one of those times.

Actually, this idea started as a simple silent giggle, when somehow the words Whiskey and Ribs decided to meet and fall in love inside my head. And all of a sudden I couldn’t stop mentally saying.. “WHIBS”.. go ahead and say it, and you’ll know exactly what I mean.. go on..do it…  DO. IT!  ….seeee???!!  😉

Anyway, In order to make the best use of my new found funny word, I would have to bring WHIBS to life, and I knew that meant I had to actually combine some whiskey and ribs, giving them a name only a drunkard mom could love.  So here we are!

~I present to you~  the most simple, tasty, yet humorous culinary combo ever..WHIBS!  .say it, go ahead.. say it.

Delectable, delicious, and so darn cute to say, these tipsy ribs are literally soaked with whiskey, and then drenched in uh..even more whiskey spiked BBQ sauce, just to leave no doubt that they are in fact.. WHIBS!  Marinating the meat in whiskey, tenderizes them like nothing else, and the end result literally falls off the bone, and melts in your mouth. The flavors are surprisingly subtle, but unforgettable.

After a few bites, saying WHIBS will come naturally to you, ..good times!

What you’ll need (THIS IS A METHOD, NOT A RECIPE) 

Ribs ,, your choice

Whiskey .. your choice

BBQ sauce .. your choice

More whiskey .. your choice

Directions:

Soak the raw meat in whiskey for at least 2 hours to overnight.

Cook them as usual

When ready to serve, add a few splashes of whiskey (and by ” a few” I mean as much as you want lol) into the BBQ sauce.

Slather the Ribs with the sauce.. and now you have WHIBS! ~Enjoy!  🙂
