If there’s anything that can make Fall any better, it’s the sweet addition of Chocolate to the ‘Pumpkin everything’ we all adore at this time of year.
The combination of Pumpkin and Chocolate are a match made in Autumn heaven. These sweet and slightly autumn-spiced Pancakes make for the perfect Holiday Breakfast.
Whip up a stack and drizzle it with some Pumpkin Pie Syrup~ Serve them up and listen for the Oooh’s and Ahhh’s. Better yet, serve these for Dinner and you will be everyone’s hero!
What you’ll need:
2 cups of pancake batter
1 cup pumpkin puree.. either sweetened or unsweetened .. to your taste
1 cup semi-sweet, OR dark chocolate chips
For the Syrup:
1 cup maple syrup
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 dash freshly ground cinnamon
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine the pancake batter with the pumpkin puree and chocolate chips.. mix until well-blended
Prepare the pancakes as you normally do.
In a small bowl mix together the maple syrup and the pumpkin pie spice, and the cinnamon.
Stack them up~ top them with a few extra chocolate chips, and a generous drizzle of the pumpkin pie syrup! ~Enjoy! 🙂
