Not so long ago, my sister and I decided to embark on an exciting journey and moved to a new country. Born in Venezuela, we found ourselves constantly looking for flavors that would allow us to reminisce about our roots. Our busy lifestyles prevented us from cooking the delicious arepas that we grew up eating, but we missed that warm, comforting feeling every day. We have developed a recipe that tastes just like our mom’s, by using a few simple ingredients that are good for you. We are passionate about sharing the bold and delicious flavors from our country while advocating for a healthy lifestyle.

WHAT IS AN “AH-RE-PAH” ?

Indigenous tribes across Venezuela and Colombia discovered the benefits of corn thousands of years ago and came up with a unique recipe for a corn meal patty called “Arepa”. With time, it became a staple of Venezuelan and Colombian cuisines due to its health benefits, they’re also delicious!

TOAST-IT is a lighter and crunchier version of the Arepa and is made from a few simple ingredients that are good for you. Instead of going through the hassle of baking arepas from scratch, we make it simple for you! Toast for 5 minutes and you are ready to go!
